Favorite Photo Friday - 2 Year Old Beauty

I have been taking photos of this gorgeous little one since she was in her momma's belly.  She still gets me everytime.  She recently had her 2nd birthday and we spent a chilly moring out chasing her and her balloons around.  Getting a good shot of her is never a problem, she is so photogenic and just plain beautiful that she makes my photography skills shine.  Happy birthday baby girl!

Thankful Thursday - Sunrise, Sunset

(Cold February 3rd Morning Sunrise)
God gives us the most amazing of gifts when we least expect them and yet exactly when we need them the most.  On my drive to work this morning I had to pull over and thank God for the unbelievable beauty he graced my morning with. I know the splendor only lasts for minutes and I didn't want to waste one more. Being the photographer that I am I always have my point n' shoot in my purse and getting images like this are exactly the reason I do it.

Just when I was still reeling about the beautiful morning, God goes and does it again... yep, this was the sunset.  No words... I think this picture speaks for itself.  Thank you God for your awesomeness and giving us treats like this to brighten both our mornings and our evenings.

Simple Sunday - True Beauty

(McNary Nat'l Wildlife Refuge)
Everyday we go about our regualr everyday things.  How often do we actually take the time to enjoy some of the natural beauties of our surroundings?  I'd say not nearly enough!  Today I spent some time at the McNary Wildlife Refuge.  I took some family photographs there, which is a location I suggested knowing that the Refuge was naturally beautiful. I knew it would be a perfect photo backdrop.  I honestly took for granted just how beautiful it is and how amazing the fall colors are.  To top it off an early morning rain followed by sunshine surely saturates colors and draws out true beauty of  foilage and brings out natural wildlife right here where I grew up.
